Made chicken alfredo for dinner tonight, it was delicious! Mom keeps giving us hella bags of pasta, even though I'm not the biggest fan of noodles. I like that they keep for a long time, so at least they're not going to go to waste with the sparse amount of pasta dishes I cook. I need to find some new dishes I can try with a noodle base.
Me and J have eye appointments at Warby Parker tomorrow to get fitted for new glasses. I'm excited, my pair from EyeBuyDirect are all stretched out and slide down my face, so I wear contacts 99% of the time. Another fun part about weight loss!
Never received a call from that hiring manager, oh well. I did my part.
My scheduled interview got cancelled and I had to pick a new time on April Fools Day. Sounds about right, job searching makes me feel like an April Fool.
Had a hiring manager email me about a phone interview, so I gave her a wide open availability of times for chatting.
Also got an automated email to set up an interview time from the deli job with a personality test, so I guess my personality is okay? HAHA.
We bought a router, which has 100% eliminated all the issues we've had over the past few months with our ISP. The internet is fast af boi. Yeah, we're pissed we didn't do this sooner! 😂 I can load Neocities websites again and we no longer have to preload whatever show we watch with dinner.
Filled out applications for some part time jobs. Had to take a damn personality test for a deli position. That was weird.
I don't want to lose my husband's insurance, hence the part time work. If I got a FT job that offered bad insurance, I would have to take it because they charge $400/mo for spouses that could have their own insurance through their employer.
Before J got off of work, I had my first appointment with the nutritonist I've been assigned to. He was cool. Claire kept photobombing the call so when it was over, he was like, "say hi to your cat for me!" lol.
We went to Simply Fondue for our anniversary. The food was decent, the service was kind of bad. I didn't mind overall because I was with my favourite person. Bacon gouda beer cheese dip is kind of what dreams are made of. I accidentally splashed hot oil on his arm whilst cooking beef and apologized 3948349384 times. I still feel bad.
I gave J the gift when we got home and he really liked it! It was framed origami cats, which ties into the paper theme.
Aerie was doing a buy 4 get 4 for free underwear sale, so I bought some new stuff to replace my Natori ones that were 2XL. These ones are an L.
I bought a very cute matching sweatsuit outfit. I fear it's over for real clothing.
I had ordered large bottles of Verb Ghost shampoo and conditioner, along with It's A 10 leave in conditioner from Ulta. The delivery courier marked the boxes as "delivered" except... they never did. I had to talk with customer service to get a refund and we went to an Ulta to re-purchase the items. Bye bye, gift with online purchase bundle, I never got to know you. 3
Mom got rid of the large, broken TV that laid on the bed in the bonus room in their house (where Samara "lives" because it's away from the other animals.) Mara can now sprawl out on the bed and we can sit with her. I miss that girl. I know it's a kindness to leave her at Mom's because she would hate apartment life, but that doesn't mean it doesn't suck living without her.
I stopped taking pantoprazole all together and I feel fine. The NP was right.
The gift I ordered from Etsy for our first anniversary, aka the "paper" anniversary arrived today. It's beautiful! I hope J likes it.
J IS HOME! Claire is thrilled. Those two have such a special bond.
I have now lost over 90lb, or 33% of my starting body weight. Wow.
I won the Neopets lottery! HAHAHA.
Drove to Target by myself for the first time. Picked up more life blood Coke Zero and exchanged the new Blackpink album for a very pretty reusable cup. I like the Pinks, but I can't monetiarily support Dr. Luke, dude is a monster.
J went to the ER Sunday and it took until early Monday morning to get a room. So that meant he waited in triage an entire freaking day.
He, and like half of our goddamn city, have influenza B. Luckily he got his flu shot so it's not as bad as it could have been. I know it sounds very, very bad for him to be hospitalized, but it's a precaution more than anything else since he has Cystic Fibrosis. His doctor wanted him to stay 48 hours to get IV medication, so that's what he did.
I scarfed down a protein bar because worrying meant I didn't eat yesterday. After, I hailed an Uber up to the hospital with all of the stuff he needed and didn't bring with him becase he wasn't expecting to stay. I had never took an Uber by myself before, that was weird.
I drove our car home, since it was sitting in the hospital emergency parking lot for all that time. It ended up being $10 and the fella at the ticket counter did a double take, HAHA. I was like, "Yeah, you read it correctly, the car has been sitting for over a day now."
