*taps mic* Hey, is this thing on?! Testing... uno, dos, tres....
Whew, what an arduous journey setting a simple blog has been! My friend Hungryclone was kind enough to take some screen shots to show me wonky formatting in my WordPress layout that made text difficult to read, so I sought out to fix it and ended up imploding the entire thing. So. Bye to several days of #Blaugust entries, they are now a fever dream. I guess starting over on Day 5 is the charm?
Today was mostly good! There were a couple of dings, but overall I feel happy and productive.
- Wins
- ♡ The fur removal tool I bought for Claire's tower and cubby hole bed worked better than expected.
She'll definitely breathe easier with that gunk extracted.
(Our fuzzy daughter has allergies, dust and dander are big triggers for her.)
- ♡ I installed a working blogging platform?!
AND IT'S NOT WORDPRESS?!?!
Say less.
- ♡ The phone case exchange from Velvet Caviar arrived.
I had bought the wrong size case when I first switched to an iPhone 16 Plus, so I sent that back and they sent me the correct size.
Glad I wasn't stuck with my mistake!
It's a very cute girlypop pink and bow print glittery case because of course it is.
- ♡ After work, J and I got Dutch Bros because it's free sticker Wednesday.
The sticker is a polaroid camera, it's very cute.
I got "banana split" flavoured cold brew again, it's my newest obsession.
Order a custom cold brew with vanilla, banana, and dark chocolate syrup, add light chocolate milk, and top it all off with chocolate drizzle. Even if you just do the syrups, it's good without the extra zhush. My sister gets the same flavour combo as an iced latte (with the chocolate milk, no drizzle) and said it's great with espresso too.
- Losses
I keep some frozen meals on hand in case of emergency; the one I threw in the oven was from a local restaurant who makes take-and-bake casserole dishes. It was a chicken alfredo tortellini and the only thing "wrong" was having to bake it for longer than the instructions said. We were a little worried that it would burn from overcooking and we'd be 0/2 for meals, but it did not.
