We made the drive to my parents' house before noon. J packed up some of our "family" games to bring over there because his board game collection is rapidly outgrowing our Kallax unit. (Stuff like The Game of Life, Monopoly, Yahtzee Word, etc.) He wants to buy a small Kallax for the 'rents as well to keep that second collection organized.

Me and J are going on vacation to the coast on Thursday to celebrate CL's birthday, so we were going to drop Claire off at my parents' house today. We had a change of heart and are keeping her until Wednesday evening to minimize her time away from home. She doesn't like travel, and she doesn't like change. Claire goes to Camp Grandma because our apartment is too far for my parents to drive to and from every day to check on her. Heck, I hate them driving anywhere, honestly. They both have vision issues. She'll be a hissy miss for a day or two, but she eventually calms down. She knows Mom's animals because she was raised with them, even though she likes to pretend like she doesn't. Thankfully, they're all very chill.

Dad made meatballs for Sunday dinner and my sister made the spaghetti. Dad's meatballs were pretty awesome: the secret ingredient was diced pickled jalapeƱos. I'm sure that sounds odd, but hear me out. I'm not big on spaghetti because it's one of Mom's favourite foods, so I grew up eating it at least once a week. But I hadn't had a bowl of spaghetti in a while, so it didn't bother me. My sister is a really good cook.

After lunch, we went to the mall to walk around. J and I are looking for a particular type of pop up tent for the beach, so CL suggested a specific store in the mall. The mall was absolutely chaotic because it's tax free weekend. The only place that wasn't balls to the wall with people was the arcade, so we spent a good amount of time in there. J won me a few new friends and my sister a cute little Keroppi. I had wanted to look in American Eagle for a tank top or two, but I saw the line for the register and promptly walked out. We didn't find the kind of tent that we were looking for, so we'll probably have to order one.

Two little Kuromi plushies!

Donutella from Tokidoki and IDK what the other little critter is, but they have a My Melody crossbody bag and I thought that was the cutest thing.
